James Crooks

James Crooks

The music career of James Crooks first kicked off in the passenger seat of his father’s car, drumming along with his hands on the dash to the likes of Fleetwood Mac, Phil Collins, and INXS. From there he learned to play guitar, bass, and drums by the age of 17.

However, with sights set much higher, James Crooks has since gone on to produce, record, and tour under various monikers with some of the most accomplished in the industry including Rufus, Chance Waters, and Paul Conrad.

2015 now sees James Crooks release his debut single ‘Naturally’.

Pist Idiots

Pist Idiots

Pist Idiots are a bunch of fiery boys from South Western Sydney, four childhood mates who after being signed up for a battle of the bands as a gag, later conceived a rock band in Johnny’s garage. Fast forward and they’re 4 bad boys fiddling with a little bit of suburban drunk rock.

With sets at Sounds of the Suburbs and King Street Crawl under their belt, they have seen huge success touring as main support on the Holiday Food tour with Skegss and locked in main support for the Gooch Palms home-coming shows. This year will see the Idiots buckle down in the studio and record their new EP produced by Bad//Dreems. This will follow their beloved lead single, Fuck Off, which received Triple J play with the attached video gaining a spotlight in Triple J Unearthed’s Best New Videos.

Ruby Fields

Ruby Fields

19-year-old Ruby Fields shot to success with the release of her debut single ‘I Want’ on Triple J Unearthed, tripling her followers overnight. Now with over 650k streams on Spotify, a sold-out debut show in Sydney and a smashing follow up single, Ruby is set to release her debut EP and embark on an Australian-wide tour.

Ruby has taken the Australian music scene by storm with just two singles under her belt. A self-identified ‘average chick’, Ruby spent hours learning how to play guitar via YouTube videos and got amongst her local music scene when she was 14 by sneaking into Cronulla’s venues and events. Keeping the DIY theme present in her music, the P-Plates singles music video was directed, conceptualised, casted, and executed by Ruby herself as she involves herself in all aspects of her creative venture.

SKEGSS have their eyes firmly set on international domination, having toured Europe and the UK for the very first time this May, including the London Calling Festival in Amsterdam.

‘Spring Has Sprung’, the lead single from their Holiday Food EP, spent the summer in high rotation on triple j, and ranked in their Top 10 of 2017's Most Played Songs for over 8 weeks. This isn't their first time triple j success with Skegss taking home the 2015 Triple J Unearthed Splendour in the Grass comp.

SKEGSS have made a name for themselves with energetic, ripping live performances, garnering praise from The Music for their “infectious” on-stage chemistry and Moshcam who asserted they “seem to have some sort of hypnotic effect over their fans”.
